sticky windows

hiya,

i live in a second floor flat with windows that are designed so i can clean the outside of them from inside. this is fine for most of the flat, but the windows on the north side are completley impossible to clean. they are covered with some kind of sticky stuff that doesnt want to come off.

the only thing i can think of is that this stuff is related to the trees. we have trees all around the flats - but maybe a different type one's blossom//pollen is much stickier than the ones on the south and east windows.

anyone got any suggestions about what i could use to clean them? they're really depressing me

TIA

squirt of washing up liquid in warm water, then clean again with window cleaner.

no joy but ty for tip. my BIL suggested white spirit as that is used to remove sticky stuff. no joy either.

this is really beginning to depress me. any other ideas??

have you tried Lakelands "sticky stuff remover"? It may seem expensive, but it lasts for absolutely ages, and can be used for all sorts of things.
