I'm looking for some inspiration and ideas please!

What's things do you do or simple fixes/jobs have you done that have changed your home?

We rent and don't have tonnes of money. In an ideal world I'd redecorate, re-carpet/new flooring, new furniture etc. but unless we win the lottery that's off the table!

I'm looking for some small wins we could do to improve our home.

I know I need to work on storage space. I'm getting some quotes to re-carpet the stairs and landing. Keeping an eye on market place for slabs to do up the garden a little. I've seen people wrap their kitchen units but I don't know if it's a long-term solution.

All and any ideas are most welcome!

Are you allowed to do that stuff if you rent? I think that would be quite unusual.

I'd improve on items I could take, new bedding perhaps?

Yes, we rent from someone we know so it's not a usual rental relationship.

Noticed I put this in housekeeping too. When it should probably be elsewhere!

Rugs, big enough to almost fill the room, much cheaper to ask a carpet sales male to keep an eye out for offcuts and get them whipped rather than buy an actual rug. And you can always take them with you.

Ask on local Facebook for a few spare paving slabs for garden, as in ",just wondering if anyone has any leftover paving slabs" type thing. You never know.

Check charity shops for curtains, cushions, lampshades, throws.

See if you are allowed to put up any shelves. High up ones, think bathroom are great for storing towels, toilet rolls.

Fairy lights. Cheapish very pretty.
