Help! Coffee Stain on Wall

I'm in a holiday villa rental and the dishwasher is right next to a white painted wall. I was putting cups into the dishwasher thinking all had been rinsed and ready to go in - one hadn't, the dregs of a coffee splashed onto the white painted wall 😞 i've tried washing up liquid on a sponge, general cleaner, dishwasher tablet to scrub off. Still there. Any tips?

Oh no! Something similar has happened to me too, with a tea mug, but it was luckily in my own home.
It sounds like you have tried several different methods to get it off! I don't know what advice to give you. You don't want to risk ruining the wall. I think I would just confess to the owner of the villa, and be ready to pay the cost.
I wish you luck!

Bleach on a cloth with water or if in Uk then one of the magic sponges you get in supermarkets.

Baby wipes used to remove biro from the walls in the early 2000s. It was quite a surprise. I'd also give eye make-up remover a whirl.

That's a good idea, the baby wipes!

thanks for the responses. I've tried a baby wipe and it's still there. will get some bleach, if that doesn't work i'll have to confess! 😬

Sorry to hear that it didn't work!

Hydrogen peroxide will work better than bleach IME, bleach can often turn paintwork pink. It’s quite shocking if it happens although it usually fades in 24-48 hours

If it's a holiday rental the owners/managers will have the equipment to put it right. It ought to be incorporated in their overall charges. Bless you for being worried and trying to put it right

Magic eraser. Just don't rub too hard otherwise the paint will come off!

Update! I found some magic erasers and it worked! Thanks so much for your help everyone 😊
