Now I've been on MN for a few years now and always have read that the way to keep your washing machine clean and healthy is to use powder.
Soooooo... we've got a new machine and that has been my plan BUT I can't find colour washing powder anywhere - is this no longer a thing??? Do people use one powder for everything? Is so, which?
The last time I used powder it was one for whites and one for colours. Please help (I know this is a VERY boring topic but would like to help this washing machine live longer).
Thanks in advance 😊

I use Aldi Almat powder for everything. All clothes, bedding and towels come up spotless.

@Walkacrossthesand - nope. Dh and I wear a lots of dark navy or black Jeans and they all seem fine. I often wear 10+ year old clothes so they aren’t new.
White wise, Ds wore washable nappies for 2 years and I have just packed them away and they look new, not a single stain or discolour. Bio rather than non bio makes a difference I think. We never do a quick wash either though as that often doesn’t rinse powder form clothes or machine properly.

I know this is an old thread - Amazon do their own brand colour powder £12 for 80 washes, one of the best I’ve tried in a while
