How to stop moths coming in from garden

Is there a way to stop moths coming in from outside? I try to leave my windows ajar during the day to air the house but during the summer sometimes I leave them all day and during the night as it gets so hot. Is there something I could do/buy? I've tried hanging lavender bags on the window handles but it's not worked in the slightest!

Moths are night flying insects attracted by light due to the moon and stars that they use to navigate.

I'd say either have a stronger light source away from the house, turn your lights off where your windows are, get those screen netting things that are common in America or rent a cave with some bats.

Apart from that, can't stop nature! Moths aren't dissuaded by chemicals etc

We have these magnetic fly screens for our windows.

Lavender is used to stop clothes moths being attracted to your woollens by drowning out the scent of the wool. It’s not going to frighten them away if they’re coming in to a light source.
The only thing you can do is be strict about shutting the windows when you turn the lights on in the evening, or if you want to keep them open you need some kind of insect mesh over them. Could be as simple as some netting pinned to the window frame with drawing pins, or something more rigid.
