Yes it will soften any hard stuff and it should just wipe clean.

It also de-orourises the microwave. Watch out for condensation dribbles though, it might be an idea to put a teatowel along the front of the microwave to catch this.

NO IT DOenst work

Minum · 15/02/2008 19:07

I used to do this regularly with my microwave - made no difference whatsover, complete waste of time. I did it, wiped the sides, and they were still filthy, and I couldnt shift the dirt

NAB3wishesfor2008 · 15/02/2008 19:19

use a dish rather than a jug and it does work but you need to put it in longer than you would think.

NAB3wishesfor2008 · 15/02/2008 19:19

use a half piece though, not a slice

RubySlippers · 15/02/2008 21:58

i did it and it worked!

have a clean microwave now and a lemony scented kitchen

I use a whole lemon, cut in half, and squeezed into a bowl of hot water. Then microwave for at least ten minutes.

Off to do it now in fact as I have loads of lemons in the fridge atm.
