Deodorising a sofa

We recently moved to a house with a large open plan kitchen.
My lovely fabric sofas have since been exposed to cooking smells and frying. We have a recirculating extractor and I always open windows when cooking.
Any tips for removing the lingering smell of grease on the sofas? I've tried bicarb of soda sprinkled and hasn't done anything.
Does steaming get rid of odours?
Anyone tried a vax wash for the same reason and had any joy?

I use the Fabulosa Foam Freshener. The scent lasts for ages, and even when it goes, the fabric smells clean. It can be quite difficult to get hold of here, so I tend to stock up on it when I see it.

Once a week I use the all in one disinfectant in the aerosol spray as well, as I have cats who go outdoors, then climb on the furniture. I buy the same scent in both products.
