Vomitted chocolate on fabric sofa

Hi cleaning advice please!

Desperately need help in how to get the smell out of my dark fabric sofa, my 2 nearly 3 year old was given an entire large easter egg by a relative today and projectile vomitted the entire thing (plus their lunch) onto the sofa when we got home. Couldn't clean it properly straight away as had to take care of my very upset DC and get them sorted, cleaned and in bed. Now I'm tackling it and can't get the stench out. I've had a bissel spot cleaning upholtery vacuum on it and taken the foam innards out, its effected the 2 seat cushions mostly. Any ideas? So tempted to shove the sofa covers in the wash (fabric is John Lewis, Quinn, Charcoal) but scared they'll shrink. 😫

I've always machine washed my sofa covers - 2 year old twins! - on a delicates/wool setting - don't tumble dry - they haven't shrunk and I think the whole sofa goes through the washing machine at least once every 8 weeks!

Thankyou @usererror99 in the wash, fingers crossed. Hope I can get the smell out of the foam inners too.
