How to remove dirty marks from painted wall

Help. My youngest has been sat in floor using his x box and pushing his feet up against the wall. This has left dirty marks all along bottom of emulsioned wall. I’ve tried gently rubbing with soapy water to no avail. Any ideas? I need to be careful not to remove the paint too.

(can’t paint over it, not my house and don’t know the paint colour)

Magic eraser is good. Worth a try.

Thanks. Bit worried it may remove the paint. I suppose I could test it first.

Sounds ridiculous, but a slice of white bread rubbed on it.

Really? Will try. Thank you

Magic eraser, wet it then squeeze out excess water and gently rub. May remove a teeny bit of paint colour but not enough to be noticeable, I have white walls and pets and use them everyday for mud.

Thanks
