Choosing a Vispring mattress

I know that you really should test out a mattress before buying it but..

We've tried out the Elite in the tensions that we'd like (medium for DH, soft for me) and we're tried out a more expensive option in the same tensions.

But our price point is somewhere in between and I can't find a store locally with that model in medium and soft for us to try.

I'm thinking if the Elite feels lushly comfortable enough, any model up will only feel better, won't it?

TIA

I think the scale of quality is based on more than the feel. So I don't think you can draw many conclusions about comfort based on price point.
I think the higher price point can come from materials providence, longevity from quality materials, health benefits of different materials etc etc
The hardest part of mattress choosing I think is that no one agrees on what firm, soft or medium is! A bit like how clothes shops can't agree on what a size 12 or 14 is. 🙄
But, if you can't try it, then you could just risk it for a biscuit and probably won't go far wrong.... Depends how risk averse you are and how easy the returns policy. 😁

I just replaced my Vispring (with another Vispring) and discovered during the buying process that the mattress tension is nothing to do with preference.

It's about body weight.

So you choose soft/medium/firm etc based on how much you weigh. Then you get the correct amount of spinal support for your body type.

Who knew?

Anway. They really are all Rolls-Royce quality and I always go for the best I can afford. But regardless of whether you go entry-level or uber-expensive, they're all good mattresses. (I think my new one was about 3k but can't remember because I blocked the price from my mind)

any other comment/thoughts gratefully received.
Does anyone rate the Elite? Or is it worth splurging a tad more ££?

I have no idea if the information contained in this sign is actually true, but I would be buying a bunch and screwing them into walls all around the offending areas.

I have no idea why my fly tipping reply ended up here, sorry.

Just bumping the thread to find out if anyone else has any experiences of Vispring mattresses?

Interested in the Hampstead or Wimbledon models at John Lewis but they are not available for me to try at my local store and it’a a bit difficult to travel with our toddler.

I bought a vispring mattress after recommendations. It's honestly one of the worst mattresses I've ever had. It's so uncomfortable.
We opted for soft but it is anything but. We've had them come in and change it however its no better.
More recently I bought another mattress, different brand ( less expensive) and it's so much better.
Definitely don't buy a Vispring without testing it, and ensure its on the same base type you have when you test it. I honestly don't think they're worth the hype or the price on reflection.
