Vax Platinum Power Max or SmartWash

Boring one I know… my carpet are in dire need of a thorough clean after a fair amount of abuse from baby and toddler so I want to get a good cleaner that will do a proper job, that I will get plenty of use out of in years to come.

I'm trying to decide between a Vax Platinum Power Max or a SmartWash- the SmartWash is £100 more so I’m just wondering if it’s worth the extra? Has anyone tried either of these?

Ive got the platinum power max and on deep clean it does the job its supposed to do and dosent take that long for the carpet to dry i didnt think the more expensive one did much more

Just wondering if you bought one of them and how you got on with it. I'm also not sure between these 2 as the Powermax one has got a hard floor attachment which can be useful with kids but the Smartwash one seems more powerful.

Now I've bought mine, I can let you into a secret. Look at the Karcher outlet centre. They have a Puzzi 10/1 for £319. Less than half price. Excellent value.
