Where can I send unwanted duvet covers

I have far too many, and although used they have plenty of life left in them. Do charity shops take them?

All kingsize so maybe not refuges.

Animal shelters will have them. They'll get cut up to the right size, but will keep lots of rescued pets warm and comfy.

DoorHandle2 · 13/03/2023 22:02

Animal shelters are always in desperate need for them.

ILikeDifficultSums · 13/03/2023 22:03

Our local Oxfam takes them. They sell well.

SydneyCarton · 13/03/2023 22:04

Textile recycling banks will take them if charity shops won’t

Corcomroe · 13/03/2023 22:06

A local homeless outreach group is always asking for bedlinen here.

GiantKitten · 13/03/2023 22:07

Charity shops do take them here. Shame to cut them up!

cocksstrideintheevening · 13/03/2023 22:09

Vets / shelters

lipstickwoman · 13/03/2023 22:09

I would happily give them to animal shelters but it's just the covers (can't imagine the poor things being kept that warm). Towels and actual duvets have gone, as well as throws.

I'll ask charity shops.

Check your local Dunelm. They are reused if in good condition or recycled and made into something random.

blacksax · 13/03/2023 22:22

Of course charity shops take them. Why do you think they wouldn't want them?

Because I've never seen them for sale in one.

In the shops here they tend to be folded on hangers, along with things like curtains & blankets.
