Help - Black shoe polish on cream carpet.....

Carefully scrape away excess, avoiding spreading polish further. Dab with Carpet devils No 1 followed by a carpet shampoo to dissolve remaining residue.

Ds1 once got that blackening stuff you use on cast iron fireplaces on cream carpet. That White Wizard stuff from Lakeland did the trick. Would think blackening is similar to shoe polish?
