Hey everyone so we recently got a second hand couch of a family member, it's lovely but it's absolutely stinks of cigarette smoke 😔have already sprayed a full bottle of febreeze on it and aired out the living room but can still smell it so bad 😔does anyone have some tricks on how to help the smell? It's starting to make our clothes smell it's so bad!!

I don’t think the smell will ever go, I’ve got some stuff from my mum and even two years later I can still smell smoke. I’ve had to get rid of it, even after professional cleaning

I had a sofa that was second hand from a smoky home and honestly the smell never went. It was cleaned using every cleaner I could think of, as well as being professionally cleaned, treated with every odour eliminator on the market. I could always smell the smoke a little bit. I got rid of it in the end, then moved to a house which must have had a heavy smoker living in it previously which seemed ok when I looked around, but quickly realised that there was yellow nicotine stuff everywhere, inside the radiators and it came through the paint, and it was in the carpets the smell as well. Whenever I hoovered or put the heating on it smelt like an ashtray again, I really think smoke is such a hard thing to get rid of.
