We have one which is a panel that I can remove from the window and give a shower. We have one on the patio doors which I can hose down. We have four on the windows round the other sides of the flat that are on a roll system and that I can't hose down. I've never figured out to to clean them properly, you can no longer "see through" them as there's a tiny layer of dust/pollen/dirt on the mesh.
