You need to buff and buff and buff it like mad with a dry cloth until you polish so much the windows are pristine.

Have you tried washing them with hot soapy water to remove all the product build up and then using a tiny amount of window spray and newspaper not on a sunny day?

I think it is a question of elbow grease - some swear by white vinegar for the final polish. ๐Ÿ˜Š

I know I sound flippant but in all seriousness it really doesn't matter.

Do you use a proper window cleaning wand or are you using sponges etc

gingergiraffe · 08/03/2023 22:41

I find a steam cleaner does them well. Wash first with hot water with a splash of detergent added to clean. Then use a squeegie to get rid of the excess water. Then steam and wipe with a dry tea towel. If I canโ€™t be bothered to get out the steamer I use Lidl glass cleaner instead but there always seem to be a few odd streaks.

I use a karcher then a special window/glass cloth and buff!

Honeysuckle16 · 08/03/2023 22:49

Get a Karcher window cleaner. Wipe over the windows with a soapy sponge then remove everything with the Karcher. If itโ€™s used in a side to side way thereโ€™s no marks left.

I learned to do this in our last house which had 27 windows/glass doors, each with between 12 and 15 smaller panes.

I've found the only thing that works for clean and lovely windows is, hot water with washing up liquid. Wash the window then wipe dry with a microfiber cloth or even better a newspaper.

Pink stuff. Then washing up liquid and water to rinse off well. Then windowlene and a good buff. Job done.
