Label and gunk removal

I love sticky stuff remover spray but it's hard to find now and more expensive. I tried the cooking oil method it took ages and ages and wasn't as good. Any other options?

WD40 removes sticky stuff really well.
Hairspray apparently does but I’ve not tried that.

Hand sanitizer is your friend

WD40 and Isopropyl alcohol are my go-to’s

Hairdryer and peel by hand

@SeasonFinale ooooo. Good idea.

If a label heat one corner with the hairdryer and then peel it back. As it lifts heat the next area and so on.

Wahey! We have gallons of that which I'm horribly allergic to. Win!

Nail varnish remover, rubbing alcohol and WD40 will remove most non-water soluble adhesives.

Anything that can't be removed by any of those is usually defeated by Convacare or Zoff wipes (designed for removing sticking plaster residue from skin but effective in many a label-removing situation). They're pricey though, so probably no better an option than the sticky stuff spray.

Surgical spirit on a cotton wool ball

WD40 for most sticky stuff, a little wipe down with cheap vodka, if it can't be washed or a little go in the washing up bowl if it can
