can't bear to go into ikea, it turns me into a screaming madwoman, but really want a couple of things. so tried to order from internet, but it said the estimated dleivery date was 15th feb. so, like, they dictate the delivery date ad i have no say in it? can you change the date when you get further into your order? i stopped at the bit when i had to put in bank details

Hello soopermum1 i ordered loads of furniture from IKEA a couple of months ago. They give you a delivery date which CAN be changed if needed.I think tey phoned a few days after the order was done and we changed it then.
I found them great to deal with and all the goods we had ordered arrived safely and on time. They even call an hour before it's due to be delivered.
HTH.

thanks, nobodysfool. i think it is for the greater good of myself and all ikea customers that i order from home and not step inside the shop!

I've used them twice (but abroad) and they sent me a postcard a week or more before the delivery with a number to contact if I wasn't going to be in. From ordering to delivery seemed to take ages though.

Thanks, didn't know Ikea was on-line. Am going to look now before DP gets home and stops me.

My2Weegirls · 13/02/2008 12:56

they don't deliver to my area - only 25 miles away from one store and about 30 from another!

My2Weegirls · 13/02/2008 12:57

sorry me moaning doesn't help with your delivery dates

pirategirl · 13/02/2008 12:58

i am 150 miles form my nearest ikea, bloody annoying.

VictorianSqualor · 13/02/2008 13:07

Everything I want from Ikea is never available for home delivery.

Every single thing without exception. I know they do home delivery, but I have never been able to use it.

Do they only have about 3 items they can do thos with?

MsPontipine · 15/02/2008 23:16

I got table and chairs - excellent service - and filled in on-line survey and won £50 voucher - hurrah!! If you're ordering several items may be cheaper to split order as delivery for 2 light parcelks cheaper than one heavy.

pollywobbledoodle · 15/02/2008 23:33

i was going to buy a £35 bookcase but it was going to cost £30 to deliver so we shall brave the hordes...
