Stained my white bedside table

Had some hand sanitizer gel on my hands and grabbed a chocolate bar in a plastic wrapper with purple on it. I put it down on my bedside table and by the time I came back from the bedroom next door it's stained the white paint. There's now a purple imprint from the wrapper. What might get this off please?

You could try a magic eraser but it does take some of the paint surface off, so it might be easier to repaint

I should have said yes it's painted wood.

Some hair colour developer might work.

Try suncream. Sounds odd but I found this online when looking to get permanent marker off a wooden table and it works like a dream so worth a try. Put a splodge on, leave for a few mins then gentle cloth off.

Toothpaste is probably abrasive enough to shift it.

Try the hand sanitizer to wipe off the stain

It works on marker pen that I do know
