Help! Thick cooking oil stains on kitchen counters

I need help as I'm expecting to start receiving guests throughout the week and I can't seem to get up these horrible stains on my kitchen counters, Thick oil residue from cooking.
I've looked around for a way to clean it off but so far have found nothing helpful. I'm desperate for a solution.

Something like washing up liquid which contains degreaser and a scrubby pad.
Easier to get off each time you cook while they're still soft.

What are your worktops made of?

A picture of the problem would help.

If they can take it, Elbow Grease spray is an excellent de-greaser.

Clothes detergent is really good at stuff. Soak a sponge and put it over hot and leave. I might even go so far as to lie a hot water bottle over it to keep it hot.
There are tiktoks’ I believe, saying to use clothes detergent in the bath for oven racks etc.

Bicarb and lemon?

Op literally nobody can advise until we know what the worktop is made from.
If it's solid wood it may need sanding (or oil the rest to match!)
Trying a degreaser first is your best bet.
