Laundry detergent with enzymes and low or no scent

I’m trying to find an enzyme laundry detergent that is fragrance free (or has a very light scent). Used to have a great one, but the company changed it to add a really strong and nasty fragrance.

My family is blessed/cursed with oily skin and enzyme detergent was a revelation in getting collars and pillowcases clean without endless hot washes and hand scrubbing with laundry bars.

Try the green smol capsules (Google them - not sold in shops) they clean really well and don't smell of anything at all.

Yes, I had a look there, but found that I had to go and look up each one individually to find out whether it was bio or not and whether it was unscented or not. (There were some that had “non-bio” in the name, but most didn’t indicate either way.)

Maybe you could add a toggle for some common characteristics that people might want to narrow the list down by, e.g. bio/non-bio, scented/unscented, liquid/powder/pods.

I use Sainsburys own brand non bio liquid. It doesn't have a scent. Not sure about the enzyme requirement though!! My partners brother used to work in a lab that produced washing detergent and said they are all much of a muchness so no point in spending £££ on Fairy or Persil (unless you particularly like the scent) as the own brand non scented has all the same active ingredient for cleaning.

Unfortunately the products they generally use for bio power smell pretty bad so they use the scent to cover it up! Is the scent an allergy or preference issue? I use Aldi own brand powder and find clothes don’t smell of anything washing after the wash.

Hi @kushami36 , thank you so much for your feedback on our best laundry detergents article. In response, we've added the type (bio or non-bio) and whether it is scented or fragrance-free to our key specs information under each detergent so that it is easier to find. 💐

Lidl own brand is fragranced but is mild. I'm sensitive to frangraned things and I'm fine with it.

I use the Lidl bio powder and although it has a scent, it's very subtle.
