Getting tissue out of washing machine drum

I accidently left a tissue in with a wash and now have all the little bits to get out of the washing machine drum - Has anyone got any advice on the quickest and most efficient way to do this please?

Ignore it and hope the machine eats them in the next wash? Or pop a couple of towels on a quick wash on their own.

Thanks for replying, I would prefer to get it all out before using the machine again, it is on it's last legs.

I have to say, I’ve never had much tissue left in the machine, it’s always on the clothes, so it’s hard to imagine. Would a wipe with a damp cloth not do it?

And maybe clear the filter out too if you think some has already got stuck.

Yes, there was still alot left in the machine even though there was loads stuck to the clothes (dark wash unfortunately!). It has taught me a lesson to always check sleeves and pockets.
I have cleaned it all out now by wiping it down into a pile with dry kitchen roll and gathering it up.

Thank you for your help and advice.
