NO HOT WATER, ANY IDEAS?

dh found hot water tap running in dd bathroom this morning, had cold shower, now theres no hot water at all, there is cold.

i thaught boiler would automatically fill.
any ideas before i call an expensive proffesional?

You'll probably find it's refilled by this evening - if you have a hot water cylinder, it was probably completely emptied. This happened to us once when three people in a row had baths.
