Blocked sink drain - drain unblocker not going down HELP!

My kitchen sink drain is blocked. I removed the water and put sink unblocker down it, and left it thinking it'll unblock.
I poured hot water down after a hour and it's now all sat stagnant in the sink and doing nothing!
Obviously nothing I can do now, but what do I do? How do I unclog it with sink unblocker stuck down it? 😫 please help I rent & can't afford to piss off my landlord.

Leave it overnight

Buy some plastic snake things from Amazon. They work brilliantly.

I will do I'm just a little worried about fumes, but so far it's been a hour and it's done nothing.

Have you tried using a plunger?

Is it the u bend? Can you put a bowl underneath and unscrew it?

I think it may be, as it's not blocked right at the top. I can do in the morning, I'll have to drain the sink out first.

It's it blocked outside? My kitchen sink has been gurgling and I thought it was getting blocked. I ventured into the back garden and discovered the outside drain bit was blocked with leaves and was overflowing. I pulled the leaves out, everything drained away and no more gurgling.

What did you use to unlock?

Any space left to run the hot tap?

This happened with my bathroom sink and mr muscle gel but I put the hot tap on and it rinsed the gel further down the pipe and cleared it.

Do you have a plunger?

A plunger is best, no nasty chemicals.
Is the drain blocked outside?

Got it unblocked, got a sink snake thing in the end (god bless Amazon ) and problem solved. Thanks for all the help. X
