Down duvet repairs

The stitching on two of my goose down duvets ( now out of guarantee) has become undone causing the down to migrate, so the down in some pockets is sparse and others dense, meaning cold patches. Both were very expensive. Does anyone know of a company who could repair or remake these?

Surely anyone with a sewing machine can do this...family member or friend?

I tried but it’s impossible to get the bulk of the duvet under the sewing machine foot part. They ( one double and one king) also need the down manipulating from those where there’s a lot to pockets where it’s sparse and failing that recovering and pocketing. There’s a company in Edinburgh who recover duvets, I’ve used them to recover pillows before but they don’t pocket only channel, so a good chance all the down will migrate to the bottom. It would be such a waste to discard and I wouldn’t even want to give them to the homeless shelter like this. And of course blooming expensive.

You could hand-stitch quite easily and it wouldn’t cost you anything! I’ve successfully repaired at least 2 goose-down duvets using this method.

I hand stitched my down duvet the other day, was easy enough
