Looking for a cover for dd's table

I'm trying to find some sort of cover for my dd's all-purpose table. The table is one of the small wooden IKEA ones. She uses it for everything from eating to painting to play-doh and, needless to say, it's now a complete mess. What I want is some sort of cover for it that I can stick on then it'll be more of a wipe-clean affair. I think what I need is basically sticky-back plastic (a la Blue Peter) in a nice bright colour or pattern so I can just peel the back off, stick it on the table top and I'll be sorted.

I've tried John Lewis, Woolworths and various art shops but can't find what I'm looking for anywhere. So now I'm hoping the Power of Mumsnet will come to my rescue!! Thanks in advance for any suggestions

I think you need diy places - B&Q (though not online) have this rather fab smarties design Fablon.

B&Q - of course! You can tell I'm not exactly handy around the home. That is EXACTLY what I'm looking for. Thank you SO much!

Fab Idea I will steal that for my DC's playtable as well

my local material/craft shop stocks rolls of PVC in all sorts of colours - a friend of mine uses it like a tablecloth, and also has a large sheet for the floor under the table for particularly messy activities!
