Washing machine - fabric softener

We've had a Becko washing machine for about 9 months and the fabric softer doesn't drain.

I clean out the drawer regularly and the inside bit where the drawer sits regularly. I don't that this morning, done a empty wash on 60 and still the fabric softener section is filled with water.

Any ideas?

Also just to add I never do a wash lower than 40 and usually do an eco wash

I find that "cheaper" fabric softeners do this... goodness knows why! I've given up using softener because of this and just stick some white vinegar in the drawer instead.

Take your dispenser drawer all the way out, look at the 'ceiling' of the compartment and you should see a tiny hole above where the fabric conditioner bit would be. That gets filled with gunk and stops the machine from taking the conditioner so you need to clear it with something pointy, I use a big sewing needle. It's awkward but should fix the problem.

I did do that today and used a toothbrush but will try a needle. Thank you

I actually just tried a cheaper softener as it's thinner so thought it might take better...but no.

I did the same! I've tried so many now I've given up!
