Duvet - Heavy but low tog - does it exist?

Hi everyone. I'm trying to find the perfect duvet and it's such a mine field I wondered if anyone understands what I'm looking for and has any suggestions!

I currently have a lovely, quite heavy duvet. I love how it sort of "embraces" you, hangs well on the bed and doesn't move all over the place or fall off.

Problem is, Its very warm, had it for ages and can't see what Tog it is but my other half estimates, 3000!

I'm perimenopausal and get hot anyway, always have the window open but I like the weight it has and the cosy feeling when you get it. Wake up soaked and he has to spend the night mostly uncovered. Nice 😕

Does anyone know, if you can get a duvet that is still quite weighty but comes in a low to medium tog?

I don't like the airy ones that seem to hover over you, or the ones that the filling moves and it ends up lumpy.

Any suggestions gratefully received x

weighted blanket instead perhaps?

Look at wool duvets. They're not fluffy and wool is a great thermal regulator so great for night sweats!

Thanks for the suggestion!

I've spent the last couple of hours looking at Wool duvets! Don't know why I hadn't looked into them before but they seem to match what I'm after.

I've now ordered one, so hopefully the divorce may be avoided after all! 😅

Yes get a wool one! Nice and heavy but also not too warm, they really regulate the temperature and lie nice and flat when you make the bed!!

Wool duvet and wool mattress topper. Life changer. Thanks to Caitlin Moran for her suggestion 👍

We have got through so many duvets as I love feeling snuggled and pinned down whereas DH runs incredibly hot. We even tried separate duvets.

Our baavet has transformed our nights, DH rarely has sweats and I still feel cosy.

We have a wool duvet and wool mattress topper and it's absolutely perfect - warm in winter, cool in summer. Have slowly converted the whole family to the woolly way of sleeping.

For anyone else still looking, we have a silk-filled one (summer warmth[, which is lovely and heavy

Try a linen duvet cover, they add more weight than cotton ones.
