Tablecloth solutions

What does everyone do about table coverings/table cloth?

We are using the wipe clean ones but I'm finding that not only do they look horrible but they get stained quickly and never really wipe clean properly. It may be that my dc are very messy eaters but I machine wash the wipe clean cloth and it's stained with pasta sauce the next day.

I’ve got messy kids and our current long-term but temporary dining table is a garden table so does need a covering 😄 after trying lots of things I’ve just gone for a few normal cloths. Going to get some lovely seersucker ones in the sales.

Another option I’ve seen is to get a glass pane cut to fit your table!

We don’t use one. Wooden table - we just wipe it down after meals/colouring, and it’s always been fine. Could probably do with sanding and re-oiling but not urgently. I put newspaper down if they’re doing painting.

We just wipe the table after meals. I have a plastic tablecloth for painting and crafts.
