Robot mop experiences

Every year I think about getting a robot mop... this year I'm considering getting the iRobot m6 but I've just seen this one at half the price

Deal: HONITURE Robot Vacuum Cleaner with Mop, G20 Robotic Vacuums with Mapping, 3000Pa Strong Suction, Carpet Booster, Wi-Fi/APP/Alexa/Remote, Ideal for Pet Hair, Hard Floor and Carpet, 7.6cm Thin amzn.eu/d/cY5Gjum

Has anyone got any experience positive or negative about either of these?

Not had one but they do sound good. Did you get it @Marmaladegin?

I can’t comment on this one but I invested a lot in an Ecovacs…deebot 10 I think it is? It is fine when it works well but it is constantly
going offline and getting confused about where it is. It might be ok if I had the time to get to know it and understand what’s going wrong, but I have two young kids and a dog, that’s why I got the fecking thing to make life easier!!

Id imagine most with mopping function are similar in that it’s a light sponging that’s happening. So be aware that you will still need to mop in between sometimes when the floor is grotty. I feel the robot hoover/mop is a daily or every other day keeping on top of the appearance of mess thing, which is great, but it’s not a substitute for deeper cleaning.

We have an eufy combined hoover and mop. It’s crap.

Cheguevarahamster · 01/01/2023 21:49

I have an eufy 15 max and it's the best thing I have ever bought. Used every day and I wouldn't be without it. Customer service is also excellent.

I know this is an old thread but jumping on here. We’ve just got a Roborock S8 which is a combined vacuum and mop. It says you can just use water (surely this doesn’t clean?!) but can use their recommended Omo floor cleaner- it’s been out of stock for months.
What do people use in their robot mops of any make please? I’m thinking of putting a bit of Method floor cleaner in there as I love the smell

YappyCamper · 15/07/2023 07:47

We have a Roborock s5 and I've found the best way to mop with a product is to squirt the method cleaner onto the floor directly then send the robot round. I tried putting a few drops of essential oil into the water tank once to make the house smell nice but wouldn't recommend that as the oil clogged the filter in the water tank and it took a while to clear

PissPotPourri · 15/07/2023 08:11

That’s interesting! I guess that only works if you’re going out or at nighttime when you’re not walking through it…
Do you rate your Roborock? Ours arrived yesterday, the dog is playing chicken with it

YappyCamper · 15/07/2023 11:02

Yeah I tend to stick it on in the kitchen in the evenings once kids are in bed. It does the whole house on a Monday when I'm WFH and everyone else is out and school and work. I spend 30 mins clearing up the chaos of the weekend then set the hoover off and feel like everything is right again.

I'm happy with it, we've had it for about 3-4 years I think and if it broke I'd replace it immediately. I particularly like the mopping function as I am lazy and hate mopping

PissPotPourri · 15/07/2023 19:38

That’s good to know! Thank you

TwinsPlusAnotherOne · 15/07/2023 19:40

We had a combined hoover mop.

The hoover element was great. The mop element was like it was dragging a wet nappy round the floor. It vaguely wiped it, not cleaned it.

I'd get a robot hoover, the mops aren't worth it.

Saschka · 15/07/2023 19:43

How well do the hoovers work on hard/wooden floors?

Considering getting one, but to be honest half the problem is we have a lot of stuff on our floors. Do you have to move dining tables/chairs out of the way? Do they get stuck under sofas?

TwinsPlusAnotherOne · 15/07/2023 20:04

Ours are all hard floors downstairs which was the only place we used it. It was excellent.

They go round furniture, but can get stuck under the sofa if it's the wrong height.

Dtwins rode ours, and he is no more. R.i.p Manuel.

I have ridiculous lumpy tiles (probably supposed to look like natural rock) in my kitchen, with 1cm+ wide grout lines - does everyone else with a robo mop have flat floors? Does anyone know if it would do anything at all for uneven ones?
