Steam mops and bamboo floors

Just wondering if anyone uses a steam mop on bamboo flooring?

DH has just bought one, but I didn't think steam mops are recommended for use on bamboo. It says it can be used for sealed hardwood, so DH thinks it'll be ok. I think we probably need to return it though.

I'm really interested to hear if you've been able to use one without causing water damage. Thanks,

Hi - oh dear, I'm afraid I wouldn't use it. We have hardwood flooring, which is also sealed. I made the big mistake of using a steam mop. It started to wreck the finish on the floor, and also seemed to raise the grain in between each board. We got rid of it.

I wouldn't use a steam mop on any natural flooring.

Hope this helps.
