Woolite smells

I've just done my first ever wool wash (feels very grown up) using a wool setting on the washing machine. I used the pink woolite detergent but I'm not liking the smell of it at all. I feel like I've done something wrong but it has a really strong, floral/musky smell....

Can anyone please recommend something else for wools.

Ecover do a woolen wash, but i find woolite to be the best.

Tocca also do a more lux version.

I love the smell of Woolite. Maybe use less next time?

Is the thing actually dirty?

Could you just rinse it gently by hand and hang outside to freshen up

I think I read that in old time Sweden they didnt even wash their thick woolen trousers, they just used to hang them in the freezing weather to freshen up!!

I just use liquid soap flakes.
