Bewilder Financial upsets are a regular thing at Grouchy's. DH hasn't been paid for 2 months, no sign of him being paid yet and we are surviving on our combined overdrafts.

Hello to ALL Haven't been on here since Thursday. Need a kik up the backside this afternoon as am full of good intent but have spent the last hour on MN. DS2 had 3 friends to sleepover for bis birthday last night. DH didn't help much so I sent him out with our 3 DC this afternoon so I could have a nap.

But he'll NEVER understand how much work was involved in looking after six kids from yesterday afternoon till midday today

Need to: clean grease off cooker and wipe kitchen cupboards, do DW, sort out stuff for filing, move drawers from one bedroom to another.

Have a nice afternoon.

TheMadHouse · 03/02/2008 16:24

We are all back from a quick adventure (walk) and I am just sorting out tea, it will then, be bath, books and bed for the boys.

I am going to clear the ironing whilst DH is in the shower and try and get some sleep, although I have to admit my mind is racing about the results tomorrow

ludaloo · 03/02/2008 16:38

Good luck tomorrow Mad hope everything goes well

Jannie you did well with 6 of them! I thought I had a hard job with 3!

Sorry you were poorly Bianca At least you did try...that's the main thing

GO have a good swim tomorrow

We have had an early supper, as all the kids are tired after their eventful sleepovers.
Bath, then calm down and snuggle up downstairs (they want to watch Chicken Little again)Ready for bed by 7ish hopefully.

When they are all in bed out the way...I'll be joining Davina for a bit of a workout

Luda - no, it was 3 extras, plus my own three. But since we live in a flat, that was MORE than enough I always breathe a bit of a sigh of relief when birthdays are over. That's sad, isn't it?

MAD - fingers crossed for tomorrow

Still got to do that pesky filing, am off to the shop first to get some wine for tonight - (desperate mother emoticon)- and other household necessities, of course.

Grouchyoscar · 03/02/2008 17:56

Hello, me again

Came back on to check my to do list. Seems I've forgotten to do something and I had forgotten what it was (check bus times for morning)

So I've DONE

Ironing
Finished the soup (Ed helped to blend it, then had a bowl)
Made the lunches
Emptied the dishwasher
Put it away
S&S the worktops and draining board
Cleaned sink

DH has come down to make dinner (Fish pie it seems) and I'm going to do clothes putting out and bags now. Then I will stop

DH better not watch All the superbowl tonight. His team won it 2 years ago and aren't playing this year. I just want to be able to go 'All hail the New York Giants!' but I think I've watched Madagascar too many times

Best of luck for tomorrow TMH

EHM Where are you planning on moving or are you just looking for a bigger/smaller house in the same area? Sorry I am a nosey beggar

tortoise · 03/02/2008 20:49

Hello.
I didn't go on PC yest. I was so tired and was watching casualty etc.

I have made big progress with Mickey. I did 'controlled barking' with him yesterday! Left him down stairs while i put the washing away upstairs. He barked a bit but when he was quiet after about 10 mins i came down and praised him. Left him for 15 mins and praised again then left him for 30 mins and he stayed quiet.

Took a chance and left him downstairs last night and he barked a few times after about 20mins then was quiet for the rest of the night. Easier to train than the kids!! He didn't make any mess downstairs either but i did find him on the sofa lol!

Been for a long walk with him this morning while DS2 was at footie training and he has been led on the floor nearly all day. lazy thing!

TMH Hope all goes well tomorrow.

TheMadHouse · 03/02/2008 21:21

Tort well done with Micky.

I am not going to manage the ironing. I have had a long long bath, 3 glasses of baileys and can not see straight

tortoise · 03/02/2008 21:27

Thanks TMH. The ironing can wait!

Poor DD's are still coughing. Looks like another disturbed night for me. If its not the dog its the kids! lol!

Nutsaboutchocolate · 03/02/2008 22:07

Hello all

I have not been in for the last few days because of bugs and DS1 it has made me a little too tired to be on the lappy. I`ll have a quick read in a bit.

We never got any snow The TV and radio kept saying it was going to but not a flake to see.

DD is stopping at pre school tomorrow for lunch to see how it goes. So far so good. I had to make her lunch tonight when I done the DS`s lunch. If she had her way she would taken enough food for a week. or at least a bit of everything we have that can be used for lunches. LOL
I wonder if it will still be the same in the morning though. She does not like me leaving and cries when I leave. They say she is fine once I have gone and soon joins in. Then she does not want to leave when mum or I go to pick her up.

I have got the social worker coming out tomorrow to see if she can help with getting some ramps fitted.

We have 2.They were here when we moved in but I cant use them as my chair wont go around the bend. We cant even get the buggy to go around the bends without going very carefully not to either scrap your hands or the front of the buggy on the wall. I dont know why they put then in like it for. The only thing they are ok for is walking, but even then it is a longer way to walk rather then just walking straight in to the door. There is not other way to get to the door either so you have to go up the ramps.
Because of this I have one chair in the garage and another one inside the house. But have to walk up the ramps which is getting harder to do.

I hope everyone have had ok weekends.

Those who had snow

Night night and talk soon
HN xxx

tortoise · 03/02/2008 22:14

Its just taken me over 30mins to stop dd2 coughing and get her to sllep.

And now dd1 has started coughing!

Hi HN.

tortoise · 03/02/2008 22:16

and dd2 has started again!!!!!! HELP!!!!!!!!!

Lmccrean · 03/02/2008 22:20

Oh dear - lots of sick kiddies about dd ok except she jumped 3 ft onto concrete in bare feet and now both feet are v sore

And as you might have seen on the chat topic, I got round to bleeding radiators, but now cant get water back into boiler and therefore no heating. Off to get washed before hot water from earlier disappears, then off to bed where it will be warm.

(dd swapped meatloaf cd for eva cassidy. much easier on the ear at this time of night!)
