Felling overwhelmed with all the christams stuff already

My tree is up, my model village is up and the lights are up everything is tidied away and boxes are back in the loft but yet i feel completely overwhelmed with all the christmas stuff already I've got presents in my wardrobe and front room hidden away I can't deal with it.
I feel were outgrowing our home now theres 4 of us here and a puppy of which ive just had to bring in a huge crate for him as his growing quickly!! and just feel very hemmed by all the stuff!

I feel like this every year too! Only three of us and a cat but v small flat. I still need to decorate but can’t fathom how to fit in a tree and dreading the arrival of more boxes. Hopefully it will feel less chaotic when the presents are wrapped and don’t need to be hidden away? Only suggest I’ve got is to drink some mulled wine.

for that reason , all ive got up is a single massive paper star . Will wait till 21 st for tree ..

Can you start wrapping and putting presents under the tree? Thats what I do and it helps.

Other tips: throw away packaging from presents now. Easier to store.

Other than that I'd suggest a good declutter although it takes time, you could just aim to fill one bin bag of rubbish and one box to donate, and that should help a bit.

I do remember when we re-did our bedroom and got new furniture - we'd decluttered a LOT of clothes and stuff like handbags. Dh said great, we can have less furniture as we don't need the storage. I said no! I need space to hide presents!
