Storage for Pokémon cards, football cards etc

I am drowning in cards, and I feel there must be some form of storage that would bring them under control. Some go in special albums, but most don't - there must be something like a toolbox or very small chest of drawers the right size? Had anyone found a great solution for this?

They can't all be swept together by the way, or the world would end Hmm

I buy oversize transparent pencil cases Poundland type. That way cards can be kept together but you can still see contents.

I would need about 30 of them Grin

If you go on Amazon and type in card game storage there are loads of options. My sons got little plastic boxes for his.

Index card boxes

DD collects football stickers and cards, currently doing the World Cup stickers Champions League and Premier League MatchAttax cards as well as Pokémon cards and and I have a few index card boxes that perfectly store her cards/stickers. She has a box for each of her collections and boxes for her duplicates/swaps so she can keep them separate but they don't take up much room at all.

I got some for about £2/3 from the Range but you can pick them up for a couple of quid in supermarkets or Amazon etc and they usually come with a pack of index cards. DD uses the index cards as dividers to separate the cards to her organising system (and as the index cards fit perfectly in the box it means the cards/stickers don't slide around getting mixed up) which makes it easy for her to keep track of them and once you do the initial organisation it's super easy to update and keep on top of.

🙋‍♀️ I think I've got the answer. I bought an organiser in Screwfix, I can't tell if it's this exact one but the little compartments come out and are the perfect size for cards. Having multiple compartments also means that all the different types of cards can live in the box and be lifted out when needed.

Ikea used to do tiny sets of wooden drawers, probably meant for stationery, but were perfect size for pokeman cards and held hundreds. Don't know if they still do them as quite a while ago (they are still in my loft though despite said boy being an adult ) 😂

Thank you - these are good ideas. That Screwfix case looks like what I was vaguely thinking of, but I'll check out some index boxes first since they are cheaper.

I looked in IKEA because I also had a vague memory of those little wooden drawers made of thin wood, but I couldn't find anything similar at the moment.

Type trading card storage into Amazon.
My son uses deck boxes for special sets and the larger boxes for general cards. He’s then got a plastic drawer unit with one drawer for each type (Pokémon, Yugioh, magic the gathering etc.)
Its a whole world I didn’t even know existed!

You have my sympathy OP. We’ve got folders, tins, special boxes, an entire playroom cupboard dedicated to the bloody things 🙈 the ‘I just need to empty these eleventy billion cards over the floor to put them into types’ is starting to drive me a little bit loopy 😬

YES! Because it means they are about to take over a room, and must not be touched because God forbid I would put Barcelona Neymar Jr together wit PSG Neymar Jr.

They are definitely breeding and multiplying, and now infest every corner of the house.
