Stovetop kettle recommendations?

DW wants a stovetop kettle for Christmas.

We have a gas hob.

6 of us living here - me, DW and our 4 teenagers. So a) large capacity b) needs to whistle loud enough to be heard over tiktok.

I am a bit worried about how efficient they are - being metal, presumably they cool fast? Might knit a nice thick woolly cosy for it to keep it warm (obviously after gas turned off)...

I like the le creuset ones but £££.

Recommendations?

We have a le crueset one - it was a wedding present. It does take a while to heat up but never had it at same time as electric kettle so can't compare efficiency! When we go camping, the tiny aluminium kettle feels like it heats up in seconds so might be worth investigating faster boiling kettles. Looks lovely though and obviously still like new >5 years later - imagine would have gone through a couple of electric kettles by now.

Loooove my le crueset kettle. I have induction and even full it heats quickly. I also use a stove top espresso pot thing which is fab for coffee.

We have Alessi bird kettle, would highly recommend but having just switched from gas to induction it is sooo slow on gas!

Love my le cruises one too.
