Any idea what to use to get rid of bubbles/foam in my dishwasher?

My dishwasher wouldn't drain last night so i poured bleach into the filter. I have just run it and it works/drains fine, but it is now full of foam top to bottom.
Do I need to scoop it all out or can I add something to break down the foam.

I promise I will not put bleach in my dishwasher again.

Thanks

Put some water in an empty spray bottle and spray the foam. Make sure it is a clean bottle not one with any other Chemical in it or it may react with the Bleach and produce Cholorine Gas which can be Poisonous.

Open the windows too so you get some ventilation in as the bubbles may be full of Bleachy smell!

Thanks cmoc, it does stink of bleachy smell.

The bubbles have started to pop by themselves. I'll go and give them a spray and see what happens (wades through flooded patio in gale to get spray bottle from garage)

I know it was bleach that caused your foaming problem but this advice may help you.

Ooops thanks for that trace.

All the bubbles are now gone but it's still not draining water.

Anyone know how to unblock a dishwasher?

We had this and the waste pipe was blocked, needed "rodding". However the last time it did it it had died as the pump had broken. We decided on a new one as we had the lod one for 10+ years.
