Why is my new washing machine not getting things fresh?

I bought a new washing machine as my old one was not getting things clean and fresh or draining. It was like it was reusing the dirty water.

Although my new machine is draining properly its still not getting the smell out of things, even with washing liquid, conditioner and a sports wash.

Could there be some kind of issue with the plumbing it's connected to, in terms of the entry and exit pipes?

Any plumbers out there know what the problem could be?

Maybe try a powder detergent rather than a liquid

I got rid of my Samsung for a built in howdens brand and find the same. I've been using the unstoppable. Softener and powder (sometimes liquid) and rarely get a strong smell on the washing.

I would check the pipework is clear and it’s draining the water away. You could do a quick wash and watch if the water in the machine is clear clean water. As you had the same problem with the old machine, my money would be on a partly blocked wastepipe.

It's always better, the gloopy stuff gets stuck in the pipes.

Oh god, that means I need to look at the plumbing then 💪
