Monday is LivingRoom Day for me & I do this as part of my weekly mission. Will need to hoover in livingroom again today so class that as todays mission.

bianca [shocked] that a 'friend' would actually say they didn't like something you had already bought. I am with jas on this one wouldn't have said anything if I did't like the outfit.Try to shrug it off

Morning EHM

Thanks for the links. I would be with British Gas too and the clinic.

Today is a busy day for me as it is home blessing day for me. Also DS2 has conjunctioavitis (sp) and I need to get an appointment at the doctors for him, but it is engaged as always.

Shopping
Hoover and mop all floors
Poilish
Change my bed
Ironing

it is raining really hard here - I hate the rain

TheMadHouse · 31/01/2008 08:45

OH - rant time. NO GP's appointments left. I have been told just to take him to the chemist and buy something over the counter, or to ring back at 8 am in the morning (I have been trying since 8 am today). So more expense.

Simply · 31/01/2008 08:51

TMH They have to keep back emergency appointments for these sorts of things, don't they? Could you ring back and ask to speak to the practice manager if they say they don't have an emergency appointment available? If it's for a child, I find my surgery are very good. I ring sometimes from the school car park when the school have asked me to collect ds or dd as they are unwell and I've assessed them too and think they need a doctor and they've fitted me in within an hour most times esp when I've rung before the emergency appointment time starts. I don't get to choose the doctor but my child is seen very quickly.

TheMadHouse · 31/01/2008 09:00

Simply I asked about the emergency ones and was told that they are all full too, which she did agree was unusual and also the practice nurses were busy today too. I have bathed them again i cooled boiled water and when shopping will visit the chemist.

ludaloo · 31/01/2008 09:02

Morning all

Off to toddler group shortly. Its peeing it down again was hoping to walk down, but don't think I'll bother.

Then its back to tidy up

See you all for now x

BiancaCastafiore · 31/01/2008 09:12

Morning

I've managed to avoid helping at school till this afternoon so have a few hours free to get on with the housework, and get on I must, the place is going downhill rapidly!
Competitive mum is also helping at school later so that'll make it all blardy hard work (sorry to sound mean but she does my head in!)

TMH Good luck today, hope the chemist can help x
EHM with you re Gas board and clinic, I hate waiting around for anything like that. Have fun at mini-moovers
Simply hello (could you email me your address again please, I seem to have deleted the email)
Luda have fun at toddlers How's the potty training coming along?

We walked to school and almost got blown away, really nasty weather this morning.
Right, my jobs for the day must include~
~hoover and dust through-out
~change beds
~s&s kitchen
~take food out of freezer for tonights supper
~put away clean laundry (have been putting it off too long)

Better crack on, see you later x

FunkyGlassSlipper · 31/01/2008 09:19

Had to get a neighbour to come over and look after girls while I went to bed yesterday afternoon. Damn headcold. I am still full of it and feeling very sorry for myself

Grouchyoscar · 31/01/2008 10:26

A huge Grouchy Morning to EHM TMH Luda Bianca Simply and FGS and Hello to everyone else

DH got out of bed earlier than usual today and did some cleaning in the kitchen. He also took Ed to school in the tipping rain. I wonder what's happened there

I noticed my tip is on the homepage {smile] That makes me feel worthwhile.

I've got another job interview for Tuesday, same school, fewer hours. I feel really good about that. I've decided to be dead positive about it all but inform them of my prior comittments.

So it's an easy day for me today

DONE

Up
Showered
Dressed
Make Ed's bed and draw curtains
Downstairs with crockery
Install Ed in the front room
Start breakfast (banana and raisin porridge 3 days in a row!)
Empty WM
Sort the wet washing for drying
Load DW
S&S worktops
Have breakfast
Wash Ed
Dress Ed
Get his bag ready
Dig his wellies out
Bring drying washing down
Load TD and run
Wipe windowsill in front room
Vac front room
Empty dehumidifier in cellar
Clean out the 'cat cellar'
Take soiled litter to grey bin
Tidy kitchen table hotspot.
Make phone calls

To Do

Put clean washing in drawers/wardrobes
Lunch
Reading Friends
Collect Ed
See how it goes from there

Better get at it, see you all later

Yaddayah · 31/01/2008 10:28

Brrr its so cold !
DD has got a raging temperature so not sure I'll get much done today

Hope you all have a good day !

Yadd x

EHM · 31/01/2008 10:50

TMH i agree with simply there should always be an emergency appointment for a child.
luda enjoy toddler group. We are just back from Mini Moovers which is about 4 mins walk away & Iam soaked.
Bianca hope you have a good day. I called clinic & they called me back whilst I was at Mini Moovers despite me saying I would be out from 945 until 1045.I've called back & got the bloody am again!
go maybe dh was abducted by aliens in the night
yadd hope dd is ok. was its ds's birthday yesterday?

Its so dark here I so sick of the rain!

EHM · 31/01/2008 10:50

fgs hope you feel much better soon.

Yaddayah · 31/01/2008 10:52

Sob! Ehm my baby boy was six SIX

Have hoovered

Grouchyoscar · 31/01/2008 11:33

I've tackled the pile of clean stuff and put it away. I even managed to find the missing pair of Ed's school trousers too

I've sorted out a 'happy corner' in the front room for Ed, just books and his leap pad but that's all he ever wants to do ATM

I've got an hour for me now. I've caught up with most of the housework and what's left to do is either too small or too big to stress about really

EHM The aliens are quite free to pop back any time

Have nice (if wet and gusty) afternoons

Janni · 31/01/2008 11:45

Hello ALL Horrid weather here too - managed a quick walk to the bank with DD. Have just read her the riot act for constantly interrupting me if I'm on the phone. HOW MANY TIMES DO YOU HAVE TO SAY SOMETHING BEFORE THEY UNDERSTAND YOU REALLY REALLY MEAN IT??

THM and YADDAH - love to your littlies, hope they're better soon and FGS - enjoy the enforced rest if you can!!
GO - well done for the job interview.

To do:
dusting, clean sinks, shower and bath. Lucky me!

EHM · 31/01/2008 12:04

janni hope dd is more cooperative for you this afternoon. I spoke to my dr recently about Ellie's selective deafness. She laughed & said that her husband who is 40 also has the same problem. She also said that once ellie is older things will improve.SOrry not much help She always manages to hear the word chocolate!
