Chimney

I have a chimney that we have never used and a fireplace which could be used but I think the chimney itself is likely blocked and would need checking and sorting before any sort of fire below can be considered. What sort of professional would help with this? Is it under the remit of a chimney sweep?

Yes you need a chimney sweep
ours sent a camera up to a report on purchasing our house (woodburner) to check for damage/blockages etc
A yearly certificate is required for insurance purposes

Busy time of year for sweeps. My usual one can't fit me in for 4 weeks.
