Shower head filter

I live in a very hard water area and I think it’s really affecting my hair. We’re not in a position to get a water softener at the moment so I was thinking of getting one of the shower head filters but there are so many on Amazon so thought I’d ask you lovely people for any recommendations?

I know this is a zombie thread but I wondered if you did try one @Bunny2021 ? I’ve been looking at Hello Klean

No I didn’t. It’s reminded me that I need to though as our water is so hard.

Ours is too and my skin and hair are so much better when I’m away from it!

Same problem here and I was searching MN for a solution. Has anyone found something that works? We’re all getting terribly flaky scalps here.

I can recommend a water softener. I have one, and it's fabulous. I have one made in the UK by Harvey and I like that it is metered so its regeneration (and hence salt usage) is based on how much water goes through it. Thus, it is a lot more economical on salt than some are.
