What’s hot in the vacuum cleaning department?

Would like to replace my DC40, getting on for 7 years old. Have not a clue what’s hot in the vacuum cleaning department? TIA for any advice. Within reason price no issue, but need something that will do hard floors & carpets, with a spider attachment. X

I've got a Numaric George 3-in1 ( vacuum and carpet shampooer also sucks up water eg spills) It;s a hefty beast .

And a Halo Capsual rechargeable bagged 'stick' vacuum for day to day

Vax Pet are about £100 and clean carpets better than a Dyson imho. Also a Henry is good if you don't have carpets. I use both.

My Miele cat and dog is the best vacuum cleaner I have ever had .

I just got the Henry xtra and its amazing. It has an attachment for hard wood floors also and it left the carpets looking way better than my vax hoover did. Very good suction!
