Now I have your attention! - Anyone know how to get scorch marks from hair straighteners off a cream carpet?

Seem to be having a very non-domestic goddess week......

It'll be too late now but a wet towel placed over area cools it down and stops melting process - it worked with iron scorch mark on my 2 mth old cream living room carpet
