Clothes stains

Does anyone have any tips or products to get stains out of clothes. I have a 1 and 3 Yr old, every wash is disheartening. I know I shouldn't let a stain set if possible. The sun is sometimes great with some stains. I tried astonish which has worked on some stains. Any ideas? Tia

I have found the Ecover stain remover to be the best.

Fairy liquid rubbed into stains before putting them in the washing machine always works for me.

Another vote for Fairy Liquid. It works wonders on any greasy stains. Rub it in, then wash as normal.
