Ridiculous - how do you get felt-tip off an oil cloth (the protective cover on a table).

Its crazy but I now what to protect my protective table cover! All the pen marks just won't come off by any normal method. Anyone got any ideas.
Its a length of oil cloth (from John Lewis ) that you use to cover your table so it doesn't get ruined!

wd40 or white spirit, though try a small bit first

Flash with bleach works on most of the stubborn ones but it seems at least one of DD's orange pens is there for life!

You could try Fairy Power Spray, thats good on most things or, you could try one of those magic sponges from JML. They are good too.

Nail varnish remover? Try a small bit first though.

We've tried all sorts to get red stains from tomato-based pasta sauces, cuury etc off ours and nothings shifted it yet. Tried all the usual kitchen cleaning products.

There are tell-tale marks around the areas where DS in particualer sits.

I'll be watching this for tips

Hairspray? May sound daft but it does work on biro.

i have an ooilcloth and it is 'tatooed' with felt tip pens.i cant get it off because the ink has been trapped in little grooves.for the surface marks i use a magic sponge-JML one(previously mentioned) you can get them in boots or woolies
