Day 21

Awh Bianca that is just not on . Ed is always in 'Edland' in a morning and it can be very frustrating when your on a tight timescale. No matter how early I get up I end up in a rush at 8:15 .I usually end up having to raise my voice and end up feeling bad. Don't be too hard on yourself.

The school thing is awful though, at least the school is aware to an extent. I don't know what to suggest there.

WHY in the 1 hour I have for ME in the week does the world see fit to disturb me? [grrrh] Thank goodness for podcasts!

BiancaCastafiore · 25/01/2008 16:16

Very wise words from HN, thanks, made me feel much better
Thanks everyone else too
Dd came out of school very excited to be having a friend back and they've dashed off to her bedroom togther I dug out a big colouring poster I'd forgotten about and have given them that to do (very girlie so ds not going to bother them too much!)

Dd has a new place to keep her shoes and coat (next to her friends not the boys) and has a couple of "buddies" to look out for her in the playground, she seems quite happy with that so we'll see how we get on

Ruby Agh! How annoying for you - I would offer but have my hands full this afternoon!
Luda missed you on MSN, maybe catch you later x
FGS hope you do get a little rest over the weekend. We have my PIL coming here tomorrow (which I'd completely forgotten till you mentioned yours! Good job the house has had such a good clean and tidy today!
Gibberish congrs to betterhalf, how lovely
Grouchy Hope Ed is better soon x
EHM, Yadda hello

BiancaCastafiore · 25/01/2008 16:40

Dd and friend are sitting under a blanket together singing and swaying along to High School Musical soooooo cute!

Little friend just said "this is the best play I've ever been to" dd is soooo pleased and happy

tortoise · 25/01/2008 17:58

Hi all.
I am really excited! All i have to do is put some wire fencing along the bottom of the garden then phone the lovely lady who visited today and we will then get a Grey hound! Sound like it could be within days of phoning her!

her dog she brought with her is beautiful. And my DC were fairly well behaved while she was here! They were a little excitable!

Bianca Glad things are being sorted with DD and that her play date is going well.
GO Hope ed is better soon.
Well done to little Luda for getting in the pool. She will soon be paddling around. Must take mine swimming again!
Hi HN. Wise words from you to bianca.

Brrr its chilly tonight! But been a lovely sunny day.

Grouchyoscar · 25/01/2008 18:04

I din't get my tasks done. I'm still a bit 'Borissy', Ed just kept getting under my feet during whatever I was trying to do and

How exciting tort bianca that's fab that things seem to be taken care of.

Had a lovely time at the cinema. 'Enchanted' is very good and the girls loved it.

betterhalf had a cs due to the baby being breech. but they are both fine. thanks for all your congratulations on the thread - it will be lovely for her to see when she gets home

Quiet night tonight. Going to chill out and watch telly. Got a cold coming on...

BiancaCastafiore · 25/01/2008 18:15

tortoise · 25/01/2008 18:29

tortoise · 25/01/2008 18:33

TheMadHouse · 25/01/2008 18:46

Waves to everyone else - I have read the thread, but brain not really engaged at present time - too much going on in my little pink land

BiancaCastafiore · 25/01/2008 18:54

tortoise · 25/01/2008 18:56

Thanks Bianca. I wil, of course, keep you posted!

Janni · 25/01/2008 20:04

Just a quick hello from me. Housework routines under control. Been out on a course today and DD stayed in a creche, happily, which was great to see.

Bianca - the tip I would give you is to only give one instruction at a time and get them to repeat it back to you. Then they have to come and tell you when they've done it and you give them the next instruction. Talk very simply and clearly. Another thing that worked for me was to draw a picture list of things they needed to do eg before bed/in the morning and they could tick off each thing as they did it.

Though my cheeky DS did one for me and it included going on the computer and drinking wine!! (which is what I'm doing now!)

Bewilderbeast · 25/01/2008 22:03
