Laundry disaster - help!

DH needs his black logo-ed polo shirt for a trip he is going on tomorrow.

So I thought I'd chuck it in with a new orange linen bed throw I decided to wash today.

Polo shirt has come out coated in orange fluff.

WTF do I do? The stuff is all over the machine too.

Haven't told DH yet ...

Tumble dry it?
If not you need a big roll of sellotape

Northernsoullover · 18/09/2022 15:08

Get it dry then go over it with a rubber glove.

Wide masking tape works more easily than sellotape to get fluff off, quicker too

Blowyourowntrumpet · 18/09/2022 15:10

It's not really a disaster. Just use some sellotape or a sticky roller

Tulipomania · 18/09/2022 15:10

Is it worth running it through the machine again?

It is very fine fluff & it is all over

Oh God I did this with an orange (funnily enough) chenille sweater which I threw in with loads of favourite black clothing. Worse, it was a neighbour's machine as mine was broken. Took hours to clean out the machine!

Definitely recommend tumble drying if you can.

Thank you all. I gave it an extra rinse then tumble dried and it's fine!
