Can I dye this?

DD has a much loved hoodie 80%cotton/20% poly which used to be black but is now a manky brown colour from so much wear.
I want to dye it black again BUT is has white and turquoise printed lettering/logos.
Does anyone know for definite if the print will resist the dye? She'll kill me if I try and it doesn't!

Is she happy to wear it faded? If so just leave it as it is. Even if you risk it, it may not dye truly black anyway due to the polyester content.

No she wants it to be black, but I'm wary

The logo won't absorb the dye.

It's possible to dye it, but the 20% polyester will always stop it from being 100% black

Thank you. Fingers crossed!

Yes the logo won't absorb the dye. It may stain it but it will come off after a few washes so don't panic if it looks dark straight after

(At least that's what happened to a tshirt of mine with very similar lettering when I dyed it)
