We moved house 2years ago and always noticed a musty smell in hall ( previous owners didn't use as main home so thought smell was due to windows not being opened etc) we cannot d directly find a particular spot that smells iykwim but we have realised that the Canadian oak flooring ( that looks in good condition) is literally the floor board and below seem to directly lead below house. Coukd this be the cause of the smell ? Ie do all
Houses smell underneath and the damp smell seeping up through floor boards? If we had another layer of floor and sealed all the gaps up would this make a difference? I'm at my wits end and it really affecting me ! Please help
