Sheila's Maid /Pulley ceiling airer

We have a large space in our bedroom above a chest of drawers where I am thinking of putting one of these airer stuff. We used to have one in the void above our stairs but we don't have the same layout and although there is ceiling space there isn't the room to fill it up. Not safely anyway.
I have a look last night and there are so many available (I think our last one was from Argos) so wondered if anyone had bought one in the past couple of years and if you'd recommend it. I quite like this one, in black as it would match our bed frame pulleymaid.com/deluxe_clothes_airer.htm
There is also this one www.ironmongeryworld.com/clothes-airers/6-lath-victorian-black-ceiling-airer-1-2m.html
We are limited to max 1.2m length and would like it to be around 50 or so cm deep, not really bothered if 4 or 6 laths.
